KEYSTONE CLUB SERVICE PROJECTS

Keystone, the Club’s high school leadership program, gives Club Members a broader awareness of their community, the resources that are available, and empowers teens to make a difference. Teens learn to take a proactive approach to support others while also learning the importance and impact of community service.

Keystone members met weekly throughout the summer to learn more about the Wausau area. They toured the Community Partners Campus and United Way of Marathon County's Community Closet to better understand how they could impact needs in the community through service projects. Each service project the Keystone members completed helped fill a need they learned about through tours and guest speakers. After touring the CPC, Club Members chose to make fleece tie blankets for the Babies’ Place. They delivered the blankets and were excited to know they were helping to keep babies warm!

To help fill the United Way Community Closet, Keystone hosted a clothing drive at the Club. Club Members delivered boxes full of clothes and shoes to the Community Closet where they sorted, folded and helped prepare for a new season.

As part of the Club's leadership development programs, Keystone helps teens feel like an important part of the Club and community.
