​What are your Club hours?

The Club is open after school 3:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. and 6:45 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. on non-school days. 

How do I register my child for the Boys & Girls Club?

You can register your child on our website: www.bgclub.com.

If I registered my child online, do I need to wait to hear back or can they start coming right away?

You will receive a registration receipt after completing the application. From there your child is welcome to come at any time. They will receive a Membership number when they check in for their first time.

 

How much does it cost?

The Membership fee is $20 per year, per Member. Families enrolling three or more children pay $45. Financial assistance is available upon request.

 

What additional costs are there?

The only additional costs are occasional field trip fees and an additional summer registration fee of $25.

 

Do you have transportation from my child's school?

After school transportation information is available here: www.bgclub.com/transportation

Do I have to let you know when my kid will be there?

No, you do not have to let us know.

Do I have to let you know when my kid is not using after school transportation?

Yes, please let us know when your child is not using after school transportation so we can ensure your child is safe.

Does she/he have to come for the whole evening?

No, kids can come as many days throughout the school year as they would like and for as many or as few hours as they would like. If they leave, they need to sign out at the front desk and may not return without parent permission.
 

Who is eligible to attend?

Kids in grades 3-12 are eligible to become Members. 

 

Can my kid bring a friend?

Yes, as long as they sign up to be a Member.
 

My son/daughter has to babysit their siblings - can they come too?

The Club is open to kids going into grades 3-12, if siblings fall in that age range, then they also need to become a Member in order to attend the Club.

 

My son/daughter attends a school district other than D.C. Everest or Wausau, can he/she still attend?

Absolutely. The Club is open to kids in grades 3-12 from any school district.

 

What should my kid bring with them?

Most kids bring a backpack with a sweatshirt, sneakers for the gym, snack, water bottle, homework and sometimes a book to read.
 

Can my son/daughter bring electronics or toys?

We already have so many activities going on, so we encourage Members to leave their electronic devices and toys at home.

 

Is there somewhere for my kids to safely store their backpack/school items?

Yes, we have cubbies behind the front desk that their belongings can safely be stored in, but we do encourage Members to leave valuable items at home.

 

Can my son/daughter get homework help at the Club?

Yes, we have Power Hour after school every day to help kids focus on getting their homework done. Our staff and volunteers are available to help with homework to the best of their ability.

 

How can I get a hold of my child?

Call us any time at (715) 845-2582. We will connect you with your child.

 

How do I get a hold of my child when I pick up?

Upon arrival, please stay in your car and call (715) 845-2582 to let us know you are here to pick up your child.

How do you ensure my kid won't leave?

Members have to sign out at the front desk before they leave and we do our best to ensure Members do not leave the premises otherwise; however, we cannot physically stop a Member from leaving.
 

What if my son/daughter has medications and/or allergies?

Please note their needs on your Membership application and be sure to communicate your child’s condition(s) to our staff. A completed medication authorization form is required before medications can be administered. This can be found on our website on the Become a Member page.

What meals are provided? How do you handle food allergies? What if my child is gluten free by choice?

An afterschool snack and dinner are provided during the school year. We are happy to provide a different meal option for medical reasons. Please ensure that a note from a doctor accompanies your Membership application.
 

Can they bring their own meals?

Absolutely. We don’t provide refrigeration, but Members can bring their own meals.
